The Women’s Fellowship is inviting you to put your faith in action by helping to make fleece-tied blankets. This is an easy project that many of you may have done previously.
SEAS Women’s Fellowship is inviting women from the parish to participate in a fleece hat making project for those in need of warm hats! Please consider joining us Tuesday, November 17 from 1:00-3:00 pm.
Bring your scissors to lend a hand to cut fleece or bring your machine to sew! There will be patterns and directions given to assist you.
We will meet in the Social Hall and be very spread out, socially distanced, with masks worn.
If you would like to participate, but are not able or are uncomfortable about coming to the Social Hall to work, you can also cut or sew from your home, if you prefer. Just let us know!
The finished hats will be placed in Care Pax to be distributed by Song and Spirit Institute for Peace, a compassionate local nonprofit organization, that we have previously supported and provides outreach to the poor. Each CarePax also contains assorted toiletries, gloves, socks and a list of human service resources. They are also available in a barrel for anyone to see and take outside Faith Works store in Troy.
Thanks so much for getting involved to do good, by using your time and talents, for a meaningful purpose! Hope you can participate, as every little bit helps!
