It's time to restart Youth Group!
Our leadership met this past week, went over the calendar,
brought up topics, and planned the calendar through December.
We are all looking forward to seeing each other, learning a bit more about
our faith, and sharing some prayer time together.
We will be returning to our past format of games, pizza and salad, and
discussion of the evening topic - followed by a closing prayer service.
What is a Gathered Youth Night?
Join us every other Sunday night as we ‘gather’ our high school students for fun and fellowship.. Our evenings begin at 6:00 pm in the Social Hall with pizza and salad, games and visiting and then move into our discussion for that nights topic followed by closing prayer which concludes at 8:30 pm.

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish offers our High School Youth, Grades 9-12, opportunities to serve in a variety of ministries within their home parish, community outreach, and programs offered through the Archdiocese of Detroit and within our South Oakland Vicariate. As baptized Christians and having received the Sacrament of Confirmation, our 9th graders are invited to select a ministry of interest to them to begin their service to the People of God.
High school youth are invited to participate in the Called to Serve Workshop for youth in Grades 9-12; this program is offered each Spring at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. The Archdiocese of Detroit requires that every high school-age youth participate in this safe-environment program in order to volunteer at his/her parish. This workshop can be taken at any time during their high school years, but we encourage all our 9th graders to participate in a Spring/Summer workshop in order to enter into a service work as soon as possible. If a high school student is unable to attend the parish workshop, other parishes offer this workshop throughout the year. This information can be obtained on the:
Archdiocese of Detroit Website.
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton offers a wide choice of ministries to be part of here at our parish:
SEAS youth are also invited to participate in South Oakland Vicariate Youth Retreats. Please contact the Youth Coordinator if you would like to attend a posted retreat opportunity.
Please join us at Mass each Sunday; it is an important part of growing in faith and discipleship! And finally, watch the parish bulletin, parish website, and your emails for announcements about youth meetings and opportunities. Call the Youth Service Ministry Coordinator if you or your parents have any questions.
Called to Serve
In order to be a part of many of our outreach and volunteer groups, high school youth must attend a Called to Serve workshop. These are offered throughout the Archdiocese during the year; if you need to sign up for one, please visit the "Called to Serve" webpage and find the next available workshop.
