With holiday sales, after Christmas clearance, and cleaning out of our closets, it is a great time to find winter coats on clearance racks at local retailers or to make room in our own closets. From January 1st through February 2nd, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul will be conducting our annual coat drive. Please bring in any new or gently used clean coats and place them in the bins in the Social Hall. If you have any questions, please call the Parish Office at 248-879-1310. As we move into a new decade we invite you to begin the New Year with an evening of inspiring reflection, much needed rest, and wonderfully delicious treats. National speaker Meg Hunter-Kilmer will be here to talk with us about beginning the New Year, a new decade, with a different focus, a different lens as we make adjustments to our way of life. Meg is a gifted, enthusiastic speaker with a great love of Jesus and our Catholic faith. Come and hear how you can develop a deeper, more meaningful relationship with Christ.

Gathered Youth Night:   

This ministry meets the second Tuesday afternoon of every other month to make rosaries that are sent to various places throughout the world where they are needed.  We would be happy to have you join us!  We will teach you the method of making the Rosaries.  Supplies are picked up at the meetings and we make the Rosaries at home. Our annual SEAS Feast Day is scheduled for Sunday, January 19th at 5:30 p.m. in the Social Hall. Come join your St. Elizabeth family and friends and enjoy a pork tenderloin with cherry sauce potluck as we honor and celebrate our Patroness. To attend, you may sign up on the sheet in the Social Hall or contact the Parish Office at (248) 879-1310 with the type of dish you wish to bring to pass. Your choices are: a salad, hot side dish or a dessert.

Join us for an 8 week Bible Study on The Book of Romans: The Gospel of Salvation Discover What It Means to "Be Saved" Paul’s letter to the Romans has been at the center of reflection, conversion, and controversy from the very beginning. In Romans: The Gospel of Salvation, theology professor Dr. Andrew Swafford and Jeff Cavins provide an authentically Catholic, comprehensive, and simple way to understand the overarching theme of Romans - salvation. Above all, it will help you enter into a more meaningful relationship with Christ. Dr. Swafford and Cavins provide historical context, highlight the connections to Jesus and Christianity that Paul makes with the Old Testament, and explore the ways in which Jesus is the fulfillment of Israel’s prophecies, which leads to the universal, “Catholic” family of God. Each week's lesson includes a reading from the Book of Romans, study questions, a small group discussion and a 30 minute video lecture. Study Materials: Bring your bible (one will be provided for use in class if you don’t have one). In addition, a workbook will be used from Ascension Press that includes summaries, lecture notes, questions and answers for each week. Cost: There is no charge to attend. However, a $15 donation is requested for those who can afford it to help offset the cost of the DVD’s and the workbooks.
